About Us:
Alana Hoye, President and founder of Ahoy New York Tours & Tasting, is a professional, licensed food-tour guide who loves NYC culture, food, history, and fun. Originally from upstate New York, and moving to New York City post-graduate school, Alana realized sharing with others her love and passion for food and touring was not only a talent, but what visitors and locals alike were looking for out of an NYC experience.
The tours, held in Chinatown, Little Italy, the East Village, and the Upper West Side explore delicious ethnic foods that are not only neighborhood favorites, but truly uncover the magic of world cuisine in the city. Alana's goal with each tour is for customers to have a high-quality walking and food tour experience so they continue to be hungry for knowledge and unique foods long after the tour is complete. Guided tours are catered to the needs of the customer, as they are held in groups or personalized.

Alana is a graduate of Le Moyne College and Syracuse University and is a former student of NYC's established Institute of Culinary Education. She is a former Big Apple Greeter and member of NYC & Company. She opened Ahoy New York Tours & Tasting in 2008. When not touring, Alana enjoys relaxing in her Astoria, NY apartment, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and eating at new restaurants.
